WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Former Wake Forest University student and NBA All Star Chris Paul is donating $2.5 million to the support the school's basketball team.

  • The donation is reportedly the largest made by any alumnus under the age of 35
  • Paul's gift will reportedly go toward fundraising efforts to add expanded and enhanced locker rooms, nutrition resources and treatment areas
  • The men's team locker room will also be named in Paul's honor

The donation is reportedly the largest made by any alumnus under the age of 35.

"Giving back has always been important to my family and me. Wake Forest is part of my family," said Paul.

Paul's gift will reportedly go toward fundraising efforts to add expanded and enhanced locker rooms, nutrition resources and treatment areas to the men's and women's basketball clubhouses.

The men's team locker room will also be named in Paul's honor.
