The Nov. 5 election is just days away and presidential candidates are campaigning in North Carolina this weekend. They're vying for the state's 16 Electoral College votes, which could prove pivotal in winning the presidency.

On Saturday, Nov. 2, Vice President Kamala Harris will visit Charlotte, N.C., for a campaign event starting at 7 p.m.

On the same day, former President Donald Trump is hosting a rally in Gastonia, N.C., at 12 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., Trump will host another rally in Greensboro, N.C.

Trump also plans to hold rallies in Kinston on Sunday and in Raleigh Monday.

Trump's running mate, Sen. JD Vance, and Donald Trump Jr., the former president's son, will attend a rally at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Raleigh, N.C.

Former President Bill Clinton plans to be in Charlotte to campaign for Harris and attend a church service Sunday, and Harris running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will also be at an event in Charlotte that day.

Early voting ends Saturday at 3 p.m. A voter ID is required to vote in this year’s election. For more information on early voting, click here.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 5. 

Over 3.6 million voters cast ballots early as of Friday, either in person or by mail, according to the State Board of Elections. That means almost 50% of registered voters have already cast their ballots as of Friday morning. 

Early voting turnout is expected to be more than 50% of registered voters in North Carolina.
