TEXAS — Billboard is crazy in love with Beyoncé after naming her the greatest pop star of the 21st century. The Texas native and superstar was revealed at the top spot on Tuesday.

Beyoncé, who got her start as the lead singer of R&B group Destiny’s Child in 1998, has been topping the Billboard charts since the start of the century. She received her first No.1 song in 2003 with the single “Crazy in Love” featuring her now-husband Jay-Z.

The Houston native, now a global superstar, has nine songs that reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard charts, according to Billboard.

With a career spanning over two decades, Beyoncé has raked up the accolades, including becoming the most-nominated Grammy artist in history with 99 nominations, 11 of them for her "Cowboy Carter" album this year alone.

Amid controversy, surprise album drops, appearances along the vice president and world tours, Beyoncé has become one of the few household names of the '90s to remain staggeringly relevant in the music industry.

So, what’s next?

Beyoncé recently announced she will perform at the NFL Halftime show on Christmas Day at the Texans vs. Ravens game. It is set to be streamed on Netflix.

Billboard released its "Top 25 Greatest Pop Stars of the 21st Century," minus the top two spots, earlier this week. Taylor Swift was revealed at the No. 2 spot on last week.
