  •  Lang says dance is a way to honor Ukraine's culture and heritage

Lang says while the country is still going through war, its heritage should be celebrated.

“Ukraine is such a beautiful country. It’s more than just people fighting right now. There is so much color and vibrance and music and laughter and entertainment almost, and celebration that comes along with it,” Lang said.

Lang has participated in traditional Ukrainian dance groups since she was a child. “To me, that was such a great and amazing feeling to be a part of, and perform and wear this costume and really represent my heritage,” Lang said.

The group hopes to perform at international festivals soon once they get a few more practices in.
