Chef Lisa Brooks, the executive chef and CEO of Heart and Soul Personal Chef Services, is going on a 12-city tour. She is hitting major cities including New York City, Los Angeles and Washington D.C.

Brooks says she came up with the idea for a culinary tour a few years ago, but decided 2021 would be the year to travel. She says after navigating the coronavirus pandemic, her goal of bringing people together for a meal is needed now more than ever.

“There’s something that happens when strangers come together and they break bread together. They come as strangers, they leave as friends,” Brooks said. “The pop-up dinners, which is what this tour is, is all about that. When people come together, people who would never otherwise even meet, and they’re able to share ideas, and really connect on a human level.”

The tour kicks off in Atlanta on July 13, and Brooks will return to Charlotte for a two-day event on August 26 and 27. Locations for each pop-up dinner will be announced on social media 24 hours in advance.
