ELM CITY, N.C. — The Trump campaign is leaving no stone unturned in North Carolina.
Vice President Mike Pence made two stops in our state just days before Election Day. The first stop was in Elm City, and the second was in Elizabeth City.
Saturday marked Pence’s third visit to North Carolina just this week.
Pence's visit precedes President Trump’s rescheduled visit to Fayetteville on Monday after his initial Thursday visit was canceled due to a wind advisory.
Michael Whatley, the Chairman of the North Carolina Republican Party, says the multiple visits from both President Trump and Vice President Pence over the last couple months attest to the importance of winning the Tar Heel State.
“We are one of the top tier states along with Florida and Ohio and Pennsylvania and Michigan, where the president knows he has to win — we know that, the Democrats know it, so we're taking this state very, very seriously,” Whatley says.
Tomorrow Vice President Mike Pence will travel to Boone to attend a Sunday worship service at Alliance Bible Fellowship before heading back to Washington D.C.
President Trump will also be attending a rally in Hickory on Sunday.
