RALEIGH, N.C. – There's a place here in North Carolina that is teaching visitors about plants, and how to let their house and environment become better.

Thousands came out to the Juniper Level Botanic Garden in Raleigh on Saturday.

The garden houses 30,000 different plants growing on 28 acres of land.

The grounds are also a place for people to learn more about horticulture.

"We've seen an explosion and interest in gardening," says founder Tony Avent. "People who were normally busy with other things, as those things fell to the side, they're now out gardening."

There are plants for sale at the garden but it's free just to walk through.

The Juniper Level Botanic Garden will be open to the public next weekend as well. However, after that, the next opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere will be in February.
