NORTH CAROLINA -- The North Carolina State Highway Patrol says it is stepping up enforcement during the Labor Day week and weekend.

NCSHP says it will be participating in several campaigns, including "Booze It & Lose It" and "On the Road, On the Water, Don't Drink & Drive."

The "Booze It & Lose It" campaign will last from August 31 to September 13. "On the Road, On the Water, Don't Drink & Drive" will last from September 5 until September 7.

Officials say the campaigns will target "hazardous moving violations such as impaired driving, speeding, distracted driving and unrestrained driver."
