GREENSBORO, N.C. – In a new Spectrum News segment, Voices for Change, we hear from North Carolinians about their lives, struggles, and hope for the future.

Joining us in this segment is Yvonne Johnson, a Greensboro city council member and former mayor.

Johnson loves to serve the people of Greensboro, but being faced with racism growing up, she had to learn to forgive to get to where she is now.

Hear about what she had to say about an event she was left out of that brought her to tears.

Are you a voice for change? We want to hear from you. Tell us what you are doing to help build a better community.
