NORTH CAROLINA – There are some changes in leadership of the group protesting for the re-opening of North Carolina's economy after one founder claims the other was "nearly inciting a riot" at our state's capital Tuesday.

One of #ReopenNC’s founders says she's leaving the group over a disagreement over its direction. Kristen Cochran claims fellow co-founder Ashley Smith is changing the narrative and that they have a different understanding of "civil disobedience."

Smith was one of the protesters arrested during Tuesday's rally. She was charged with violating an executive order and resisting a public officer. Smith said in a statement the group will move forward with its mission.
