MORRISVILLE, N.C. – Those traveling through RDU in the upcoming months may want to arrange transportation to the airport ahead of time.
- Parking at RDU will be limited over the coming months.
- Officials are urging travelers to prepare for transportation to the airport ahead of time.
- This is expected to last through mid-May.
Parking is expected to be limited as the airport works on a project to repair paint in their parking garages.
"We are going to lose about 1,150 parking spaces a week, so there's a chance customers will come to the airport, think that they can get in, and actually be turned away and have to find another lot," said Stephanie Hawko, Director of Media Relations for RDU.
Those who live in the Raleigh-Durham area may wish to use a cab service or ride app.
Those who insist on driving, however, might consider booking a parking spot on the ParkRDU website.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-May.
