RALEIGH, N.C. -- A man is facing charges in connection to a deadly shooting that took place on Sunday, December 8.

Carl Vincent Jones, Jr. (pictured below), 41,  is charged with killing Robert Rogers inside an apartment on Crest Road.

 

Rogers was one of two victims killed overnight Sunday during a string of shootings and stabbings throughout the area.

Police are still investigating the crimes and have not said whether any of them were connected.

  • The first shooting happened in the parking lot of Fiddle Stix Gas Station
  • The second shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. on Rush Street
  • Finally, over on Crest Road, police say they found a man shot inside of an apartment

The first shooting happened in the parking lot of Fiddle Stix Gas Station on Capital Boulevard just before 1 a.m.

The second shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. on Rush Street.

 

It was there police found a man shot in the parking lot of Club 30 Plus. That man reportedly died.

 

 

Later on, two men from the same club arrived at the hospital with stab wounds.

Finally, over on Crest Road, police say they found a man shot inside of an apartment just before 2:30 a.m.

 

 

The man, identified as Robert Leon Rogers, Jr., 39, was taken to the hospital but later died.
