RALEIGH N.C. – With Veteran’s Day quickly approaching, Wake Tech is taking this whole week to show their appreciation.

  • Wake Tech held a job fair Tuesday for Veterans searching for employment.
  • Over 40 employers came out looking to hire.
  • Friday, Wake Tech will be holding a “dress for success” event as well as free haircuts, following a Veteran’s Day ceremony.

On Tuesday November 5, Wake Tech held a job fair for Veterans who are looking for employment.

More than 40 different employers came out eager to hire.

Veterans explained that often they struggle with getting accustom to civilian life as well as updating their resume.

"My goal is that every veteran has that job that their looking for, part-time, full-time or internship. If they do not find the job they want, I hope they feel this was a success because they learned how to network better to be ready the next time," Marilyn Terrill, Dean for Veterans Programs Innovations, said.

Wake Tech will also have free haircuts and a “dress for success” event on Friday following a Veteran’s Day ceremony with tributes to those who served.
