BENSON, N.C. -- We're learning that police in Benson now have a person of interest in a shooting that left three people hurt.

Those shots were fired in a Benson neighborhood around 12:30 Saturday morning.
Our cameras were on the scene as police cruisers lined up outside an apartment complex on East Benton Street.
A town spokesperson says two males and one female were shot.
The female victim was treated at the scene, while male victims were rushed to a nearby hospital.
The identities or ages of the victims have not yet been released.
A witness at the scene says one victim was 15 and a football player from South Johnston High School.
Police say the person of interest remains on the loose.
