A cold front moving into North Carolina will bring a little taste of fall later this week.  We will not feel those fall-like temperatures Tuesday afternoon though.  With plenty of sun through the day, highs will soar well into the 80s.  Some locations in the Sandhills will be near 90.

The front moving into the state will produce very little rain.  There's just a 30% chance for a few isolated showers or storms late Tuesday afternoon and evening.  Otherwise, our forecast looks dry for the next several days.

Cooler air will begin to move into North Carolina behind the front Tuesday night into Wednesday.  Highs in the mid 70s to near 80 forecast for the second half of the week.  Lows should drop to the 50s by Thursday and Friday mornings.

A warming trend is then forecast for the weekend.  Highs will return to the 80s for Saturday and Sunday.  The upper 80s to near 90 are forecast for early next week.
