DURHAM, N.C. --Authorities in Durham say a person who was run over by a car after crashing an electric scooter is fighting for their life.

The crash happened Sunday afternoon on South Roxboro Street. Police say the scooter rider was riding next to a car, but lost control and ended up underneath the vehicle.

Police have not released that person's identity or said if any charges will be filed.
