RALEIGH, N.C. -- Angela Bridgman came out as transgender in 1993, while Kendall Vega only came out last Halloween.

We talk to them about their experiences and what they've endured over the years as Pride month comes to an end, and it's the 50th anniversary of the riots at the Stonewall Inn.

Kendall says, “I think it was almost like a rebirth, and being Kendall is a rebirth, and I hate to say it this way but a death of him.”

And for Angela, “I’ve now lived more years of my life as Angela than as my former male self, which is not a part of me anymore.”
