Passing that history from World War II on is a very serious thing for the folks that work at the museum.
"It's extremely important to remember what happened...these men that fought for the world's freedom, assaulting Fortress Europa was a huge undertaking, defeating the German Army," said Jimmy Hallis, a curator at the museum.
We're told there will be more special exhibits to remember the 75th anniversary of other parts of World War II. Later this year, the museum will look back at Operation Market Garden which was a huge parachute and infantry assault into Holland and the Battle of the Bulge.
