WILSON COUNTY, N.C. – An ongoing investigation by the FBI has led to the arrest of a Wilson County pastor.
- Daniel Heath was arrested and charged with First Degree Exploittion of a minor.
- According to the church's website, Heath used to be a pastor at First Baptist Church of Wilson.
- He was given a $500,000 bond.
Police say Daniel F. Heath was arrested and charged with First Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor after authorities, including the FBI and the Wilson Police Department, executed a search warrant on his home on May 7.
Heath was previously associated with the First Baptist Church of Wilson, and was an associate pastor in as recently as 2018, according to the church’s website.
Heath was taken into custody and given a $500,000 bond.
