RALEIGH, N.C. -- The final day of April will feel a lot more like the middle of June in central North Carolina.   With plenty of sunshine, temperatuers will soar to the mid and upper 80s.  That is at least 10 degrees above average for late April.

The very warm weather is expected to continue for the rest of the week.  Highs are forecast in the mid to upper 80s across the Triangle through Friday.  Some locations in the Sandhills could hit 90.

There is very little chance for rain through the work week.   Late Friday afternoon will bring a slight chance for an isolated storm.  However, we will see a higher chance for scattered afternoon and evening storms for the upcoming weekend.
