DURHAM, N.C. -- Tired of the same old cheeseburger?

Bull City Burger in Durham has an eight-legged option for adventurous eaters.

The popular Durham restaurant brought back their tarantula burger as part of Exotic Meat Month.

 

 

Spectrum News reporter Chris Williams took one for the team and decided to try one.

 

 

"We're always about food education and this really had a lot to do with teaching about diversity of food culture around the world," said owner Seth Gross. "What's weird to us is kind of normal in other places because other places thing eating a hamburger is kind of weird. In Cambodia, tarantula are street food."

Thirty-five brave people took the challenge.

Bull City Burger believes its the largest crowd in the world to eat this specific kind of burger.
