CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down in Lincoln and Gaston counties on Friday.

The incident happened around 3:30 p.m., with wind speed at that time being around 80 mph.

Thankfully, his only injury is a fractured rib. He is now out of the hospital.
