EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. – A Rocky Mount man is charged with murder after a 65-year-old woman was found dead Saturday afternoon.

• Sandra Epps, 65, was murdered in Rocky Mount Saturday afternoon.
• Tyquon Draughn, 21, has been charged.
• It is no known if or how the pair knew each other.

It happened on Windsor Avenue shortly after 12:30 p.m.

The deceased has been identified as Sandra Epps. She died of a gunshot wound.

Tyquon Draughn, 21, has been charged in her death.
