RALEIGH, N.C. -- Police in Raleigh are working to figure out what caused a car to lose control and hit a building on Avent Ferry Road Thursday night.

  • A car crashed into a home on Avent Ferry Road Thursday night.
  • It happened around 11 p.m.
  • The driver had to be cut out of the car.

It happened around 11 p.m. near NC State's Centennial campus.

The car appears to have gone through a fence, down an embankment, and possibly flipped before hitting a home.

Our crews on the scene say no one in the building was hurt, but the driver was cut out of the car and taken to Wake Med with unknown injuries.

There is no word if charges will be filed in this case.
