ROLESVILLE, N.C. -- The principal of Rolesville High School is doing OK after being knocked down trying to break up a fight.

  • The principal of Rolesville HS says she's doing OK after being knocked down during a school fight. 
  • Three students were arrested.
  • Principal Lassiter says the fight looked worse than it was. 

That fight broke out between four students Wednesday. You can see the principal in the video that was posted to social media, wearing a red skirt.

 

 

Parents were not surprised to hear that principal, Dhedra Lassiter was trying to help.

"She's there for those kids day one. I mean and to protect her students, to protect her staff,” said one parent, Jennifer Jackson.

After the fight, Lassiter sent an email to parents, saying she and a school resource officer were knocked over and no one was seriously hurt.  

The school's staff and Rolesville police quickly ended the fight.

Principal Lassiter said the fight looked worse than it was. Rolesville Police charged three students involved with fighting, and one of them with disorderly conduct.
