LUMBERTON, N.C. -- A Lumberton woman missing for more than two months has been found.
- Police said she was last seen walking out of the Southeastern Regional Medical Center in October
- Family members said they received a call from Lowery November 25 saying she was being held hostage
- Officials say that Lowery went missing by her own choice
Police said 28-year-old Brittany Lowery has been located by investigators with the Lumberton Police Department.
She was last seen walking out of the Southeastern Regional Medical Center in October. Lowery's family told Spectrum News she was there getting help for her drug addiction. When Lowery's mom, Sherry Williams, came to pick up her daughter, she found out she checked out with an unknown person.
Family members said they received a call from Lowery November 25 saying she was being held hostage.
Officials now say that Lowery went missing by her own choice.
No other details have been released.
