FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- For some hurricane victims in North Carolina, there was light at the end of the tunnel Tuesday.
- Gov. Roy Cooper announced that the Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity is getting $1.5 million in state funds to help hurricane victims.
- The money will go towards continuing infrastructure planning of the Oakridge Estates homes.
- The project is expected to be completed in September 2021.
Gov. Roy Cooper announced that the Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity is getting $1.5 million in state funds to help hurricane victims. The money will go towards continuing infrastructure planning of the Oakridge Estates homes. Forty-seven single family houses will soon sit on more than 14 acres of land.
"I look forward to all that we're going to do to respond to these storms and build back our state stronger and better than before," Gov. Cooper said.
The project is expected to be completed in September 2021.
