- This was Durham's 9th annual Comicon.
- NC Comicon's sequel convention in Raleigh is scheduled for March.
Thousands attended the convention over its 3-day run in the Durham Convention Center. The event featured artists, vendors and film screenings all focused on comic book culture.
This was Durham's 9th annual Comicon, and comic book artist Dave Dwonch makes it a point to come back for as many of them as he can.
"San Diego and New York, they're so big that you don't feel like you get to see everything," said Dwonch, who resides in California. "This show is the perfect size show to experience everything and touch base with as many people as you want to."
