WILSON, N.C. – The annual Whirligig Festival has come to an end for 2018.

The event that brings people from all over the country has been going on for 14 years and each year the event seems to be get bigger. Early crowd estimates expected around 50,000 people at the two-day event.

It has the fun of music, food and family time. Plus, it's free to the public.

“It's a really cool place out here honestly. I really like it. It's really cool. If you get a chance to come out here you should come and check it out,” festival goer Shane Trotman said.

Organizers are getting ready to start planning next year’s Whirligig Festival which is the first full weekend in November.
