CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The granddaughter of former UNC-Chapel Hill chancellor J. Carlyle Sitterson is the fourth person arrested in the toppling of Silent Sam.

Margarita Sitterson has been arrested and charged in the Aug. 20 toppling of the Confederate statue. She faces charges for defacing a public statue and public disturbance.
Sitterson was chancellor at UNC from 1966-1972 and an award for first-year teaching students still exists in his name.
