SANFORD, N.C. --- A homicide investigation is underway in Sanford after officers found a woman dead from a gunshot wound near a hospital.

Officers found 20-year-old Imani Olivier in a car parked in front of the Central Carolina Hospital emergency room.

Authorities believe the shooting happened at the Autumn Oaks Apartments.

Police have an active warrant out for a suspect.
