Sgt. Anthony Von Canon and his family received the keys to a brand new house Wednesday morning, all due to a non-profit called "Operation Coming Home."
Sgt. Von Canon received several injuries after a rocket attack in Afghanistan.
The new house was designed with his medical needs in mind in order to make it easier for him to get around.
He and his family hope to continue giving back as a way to say thank you.
"We are excited," Sgt. Von Canon said. "Surprised there are so many people involved. We didn't know how many people were involved or had come together."
Operation Coming Home paired with several other non-profits and businesses in order to make the project a success, including the Home Builders Association of Raleigh.
