CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. -- Two men are dead after two pick-up trucks collided head-on in Cumberland County.
- Crash happened on Cumberland Road near Spell Drive.
- Robeson County Attorney Patrick Pait was one of the victims.
- Drugs and alcohol are not suspected in the crash.
The State Highway Patrol said it happened around 3:30 p.m. Sunday on Cumberland Road near Spell Drive.
Sixty-six-year old Donald Rightnour, of Fayetteville, and 34-year-old Patrick Pait, of Lumberton, died in the accident.
Pait was the attorney for Robeson County.
Troopers said Tuesday that Pait started to weave and crossed into the other lane and increased speed which led to the crash.
No alcohol or drugs are suspected and both men were wearing their seatbelts.
