DURHAM, N.C. – This weekend will mark the end of an era for Triangle foodies and diners.

Finch’s Family Restaurant in Durham is closing its doors for good this Sunday, April 15.

The restaurant, which was originally located on Peace Street in Raleigh, is closing because the owners are retiring.

Finch’s, which originally opened in 1945, is located at 3211 Old Chapel Hill Road in Durham.

A new restaurant called East Cut will be opening in the same location soon. It will serve sandwiches, soup along with beer and wine.
