NATIONWIDE – There are fears the massive breach at credit bureau company Equifax may be worse than first thought.
This information is according to confidential documents Equifax provided to the senate banking committee and seen by CNN.
Information such as tax identification numbers, addresses, social security numbers and driver's license details may have been accessed by hackers. This is in addition to other personal information Equifax said was compromised last year.
The hack, which happened from May to July of 2017, affected more than 145 million customers.
Federal agencies, state officials and lawmakers are currently probing Equifax.
