MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- A Fort Bragg soldier is charged with murder in connection to a South Carolina shooting.

Chandler Dunmeyer, 19, was taken into custody for the murder of Colee Muirhead on Wednesday.

The shooting happened at a Myrtle Beach motel on Monday.

Myrtle Beach police say Dunmeyer and Muirhead exchanged texts and Dunmeyer withdrew a specific amount of money requested by Muirhead prior to their meeting.

Dunmeyer, who's stationed at Fort Bragg, is charged with murder and possession of a firearm.
