RALEIGH -- Hundreds of cities held Women's Marches on the one-year anniversary of President Donald Trump's inauguration, including Raleigh.
Organizers estimate nearly 5,000 people filled Halifax Mall on Saturday to rally for the cause. The crowd did not actually march, but speakers took the stage and discussed politics and women's rights.
Many of the attendees say they came out of frustration due to President Trump's first year in office.
"I'm still upset that things have definitely not transpired in a way that make me feel confident that we're on the right path forward," said Jen Lackmann. "I hope it brings everybody who's here and 10 of their friends to the polls in November."
"I hope people vote on November 6, 2018 so that next year we can be marching for something different," added Jessica Wright.
Other cities in North Carolina including Charlotte and Winston-Salem also had Women's Marches on Saturday.
