RALEIGH -- A one-of-a-kind bookstore inside Raleigh-Durham International Airport will close after 33 years.

2nd Edition Book Sellers, which focuses on selling used and rare books, will shut its doors on the last day of the year. Owners Walter and Karen High made the decision to close the store and retire due to a combination of an expiring lease at the airport and health reasons.

"It doesn't feel real...every time I think about it, it's just very sad," says 2nd Edition Book Sellers clerk Alexandra Helms. "This is my favorite place, and I feel like I'll never enjoy working anywhere else as much as I enjoy working here."

The bookstore is inside RDU's Terminal 2 and is one of the only used bookstores inside of an airport in the country. The other most known store is inside of Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport.
