FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The spirit of the late Moses Mathis, known far-and-wide as "The Bicycle Man", is alive and well thanks to his wife, Ann Mathis.
Every year Mrs. Mathis works hard collecting bikes from the community to make sure kids can experience the simple joy of getting a bicycle of their own for Christmas.
At a special event on Saturday, nearly 100 bikes were donated to the charity to disperse to eager boys and girls this holiday season.
But it's more than just making sure kids have bikes.
The vision of the Bicycile Man charity is, "To make a positive impact on the community by leading through example and demonstrating the Christian principles of charity and thrift."
The Mathis family has been working with their charity for nearly 3 decades, and have made it possible for thousands of children to get bikes.
