ENFIELD, N.C. – Investigators with the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office say a quadruple murder may have been gang related, and the home in which it happened could have been specifically targeted.

James and Janice Harris and James and Peggy Jo Whitley were shot while sitting at a kitchen table inside a home in the 900 block of Fishing Creek Road on Aug. 21.

Two of the victims lived in the home, while the others were visiting.

There’s still no word on any possible suspects, but the investigation is ongoing.

A reward for information in the case currently stands at more than $51,000.
