The expectant Sumatran tiger at Disney’s Animal Kingdom has given birth to a pair of tiger cubs, Disney World announced Wednesday.

The cubs, the first in the park’s history, were born to Sohni and Malosi.

Veterinarians are providing Sohni and her cubs with around-the-clock care and monitoring their progress.

Guests who want to see the baby tigers, will have to wait. They are expected to join the Maharajah Jungle Trek within the next several months.

Sumatran tigers are critically endangered, with fewer than 500 existing in the wild. The species faces threats like habitat loss, poaching and the illegal wildlife trade.

The cubs were bred as part of a Species Survival Plan, which is overseen by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
