A Staten Island parish is honoring the men and women in blue.

Crossroads Church hosted its NYPD Appreciation Day Tuesday at its New Dorp congregation.

The day-long event is held each year to thank cops for the sacrifices they make every day on the job.

Officers were invited to the church for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all on the house.

The church's pastor says it's important to show support for New York City's finest.

"They run into the fight and the fray when other people are running away from it. They are sacrificial by nature and by training. And so we owe them a great deal of gratitude," said Raymond Parascando, pastor at Crossroads Church.

Several local restaurants stepped up to supply food throughout the day for all of the officers.
