DURHAM- Durham police say an internal investigation is underway after an officer tased a man at a Harris Teeter.

The incident happened last Wednesday at the store on Hillsborough Road. Police say Deonte Harris, 24, was asked to leave by management but refused. Police say they also tried to get him to leave, but he refused again. Authorities say when police tried to arrest Holder, he fought back and that's when they tased him.

Holder is charged with second degree trespassing and resiting an officer, both misdemeanors. A judge gave him a secured $500 bond and ordered him to stay away from the store. Holder is set to go back to court in December. We caught up with Holder at his home, but he declined to comment. He now has a public defender.

Witnesses say there may be more to the story. A woman who shot cell phone video after Holder was tased told an online publication Holder was with a group of people and was confused over who was told to leave. The eyewitness also said that the entire incident may have sparked from a possible stole cell phone.

We also reached out to Harris Teeter for a comment, but our calls weren't returned.
