FAYETTEVILLE -- The winners from yesterday's Fayetteville Area System Transit Bus Rodeo are getting ready to compete in a statewide competition. The rodeo included navigating a 35 foot bus through a 16-part obstacle course in seven minutes, a written test and a uniform inspection.

Even experienced drivers said they were challenged.

"The corners are really tight. Trying to get around those cones without hitting them is really nerve wracking," said Paula Bowers, bus driver.

The statewide competition will be held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway next month.
