WAKE COUNTY -- Four Wake Tech students in Raleigh are using a storage unit to get their new business off the ground. It's called "Virtucode."
It's an app for Wake Tech students that would sync their student ID to their smartphone.
Though their idea is still a work in progress, they say the goal is all about making life a little easier for students on campus.
"If a student had a mobile ID on them where they didn't have to worry about the physical, then that would be a great idea. We've been lucky enough to fund our project. We are in the storage unit, office space is crazy expensive especially on student budgets," said Rye Robinson, student at Wake Tech.
They plan to launch the app within the next few weeks.
