RALEIGH — Whether it’s your drivers license or car tag, “First in Flight” is a constant reminder to North Carolina’s leadership in the world of aviation. So it’s only appropriate that Our State Magazine decided to delve into the air, “Flying the Carolina Skies”.

In one article, writers checked out the many airports across the state, both large and small. And they took us inside Piedmont Airlines, for a look at the nostalgia involved with the aviation facility.

One of the issue’s most interesting stories focused on the banners flying behind planes on the Carolina coast. If you’ve ever thought who was pulling those signs, well Our State has the answer.

In the February 2018 issue, senior writer Jeremy Markovich traveled to Goldsboro where the town is synonymous with Seymour Johnson Airforce Base.  But instead of just being a place to live and work, it’s also growing into a place many are choosing to play.

And finally, there’s an extra bonus issue in this months edition. Don’t forget to check out Our State Home for a look at creative ideas to make your house the perfect southern place to live.
