RALEIGH -- She was vibrant, full of energy and always looking to make an impact. Jamie Kirk Hahn was the type of person who was infectious to be around. And it's that energy and zest for life and making her community better that keeps her legacy alive more than four years after her death.
This weekend, Jamie's life is being remembered through action as The Jamie Kirk Hahn Foundation's Weekend of Purpose. On Saturday and Sunday, hundreds of volunteers are getting their hands dirty by volunteering at some 16 sites in an effort to make an impact on the Triangle. The day of service is a way to join like-minded people and make Chapel Hill, Durham and Raleigh great places to live.
And the weekend continues with the Party with a Purpose, a multi-part event bringing together more than 500 people to celebrate good food, drinks and fun with proceeds going to the fellowship in Jamie's name.
