RALEIGH -- Fall is one of the most anticipated times of the year as the leaves change, tailgating kicks off and holiday parties are right around the corner. And that also means it's time for the Raleigh Home Show to return to the Triangle. This year, the Raleigh Home Show celebrates three days of celebrity appearances, home improvement ideas and much more.

We sat down with Matt Blashaw of HGTV's "Vacation Home for Free," "Yard Crashers" and recently crowned the winning carpenter on "Ellen’s Design Challenge." Matt’s vast home improvement background will give guests tips and tricks for both your indoor and outdoor projects.

While at the show, you can also check out the trend setter of the year, Serena Appiah, who was recently named Marketplace Events 2016 Home + Garden Trendsetter of the Year after a nationwide search for a home blogger turned home show celebrity. She’s helped people decorate, improve and maintain their homes on a DIY budget since 2010.

Come learn new ideas from repurposing DIY projects to mastering power tools and more.

There will also be new designer container showrooms available for people to tour. Shipping containers-turned-living spaces are the “tiny homes” of 2016 – the hottest upcycling home design trend. At the show, you can tour four containers reimagined as interior spaces by the American Society of Interior Designers Student Chapter and provided by Carolina Containers & Transport.

Other must-see features include Cooking Stage presented by The Recipe and The News & Observer and built by Kitchen Recreations, the new Resting Round designer lounge sponsored by Wells Fargo, the popular Homegrown Marketplace, outdoor living spaces sponsored by Luxury Living Scapes and RB Landscaping, and more.
