1. Maxwell Anderson found guilty on all charges in death of Sade Robinson
Maxwell Anderson, the 34-year-old man accused of killing and dismembering 19-year-old Sade Robinson after their first date, was found guilty on all charges. His trial began last week Tuesday, May 27, with jury deliberations beginning Thursday night. The jury came to a decision on Friday, finding Anderson guilty on charges of first degree intentional homicide, mutilating and hiding a corpse and arson of property other than a building — related to the death of Robinson.
2. Wisconsin could face summer full of air quality issues
After a week full of Air Quality Advisories issued by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), experts in Wisconsin said it wouldn't be surprising to have more air quality issues off-and-on throughout the summer.
3. Man accused of framing other man for deportation by writing letters threatening Trump's life
A Wisconsin man is facing charges accusing him of forging a letter threatening President Donald Trump's life in an effort to get another man who was a potential witness against him in a criminal case deported. Prosecutors said in a criminal complaint filed Monday that Demetric D. Scott was behind a letter sent to state and federal officials with the return address and name of Ramón Morales Reyes.
Members of the Wisconsin Gun Safety Coalition gathered at the Capitol on Tuesday afternoon alongside community advocates and Attorney General Josh Kaul to push for the “Safe Summer” bill package. The legislation seeks to curb gun violence across the Badger State. It comes after a 15-year-old boy was shot and in critical condition early Wednesday morning on Milwaukee’s North Side.
5. MPS teacher's aide Yessenia Ruano's deportation order has been stayed
Yessenia Ruano, the bilingual Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) teacher’s aide who has been fighting for her temporary status to be extended, has formally asked Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to delay her deportation until a decision is made on her T-Visa application.
