Early voting began this week in North Carolina’s primary elections, including for Guilford and Forsyth county commissions and boards of education.
Guilford County voters will also cast ballots for sheriff and district attorney, along with choosing party candidates for Senate, House and the state legislature.
There are city council primaries in Greensboro, with the General Election for council and mayor on July 26.
Early voting began Thursday and will run until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 14. Election Day is May 17.
A recent Spectrum News/IPSOS poll found the biggest concerns for voters are rising prices and affordable housing. Questions about economic opportunity, public safety and housing prices are central topics in not just the Triangle but around North Carolina.
